You earn on every qualifying ticket
Your rate depends on the ticket you buy, and every qualifying ticket earns at least 1 Hype Buck.
They activate after the show
Bucks land as Pending and become Active 7 days after the event, once the event and your transaction have cleared the required checks.
They spend like cash
Active Bucks come straight off eligible tickets, up to the limit shown at checkout — and they work on a Moss Moss deposit too.
How much do you earn?
Your Hype Bucks depend on the ticket you buy — a percentage of the eligible ticket price you actually pay.

- City Passes use the reward rate of their underlying ticket tier.
- Every qualifying ticket earns independently, and every qualifying ticket earns at least 1 Hype Buck.
- Your exact Hype Bucks reward is shown before you pay.
- Corporate tickets do not earn Hype Bucks.
How your Bucks are calculated
Your reward is based on the eligible ticket price you actually pay, so discounts are taken into account before your Bucks are calculated. Bucks are worked out per ticket — buying more than one qualifying ticket means earning on each qualifying ticket.
Pending
Hype Bucks are added to your account as Pending when your qualifying order is fully paid.
Active
They become Active 7 days after the event, once the event and your transaction have cleared the required checks. Once they're Active, they're ready to use.
Spend them on your next show
- Use Active Hype Bucks towards eligible Tickoz tickets where Hype Bucks redemption is available.
- You can redeem up to 100% of the eligible ticket value per event, unless a different limit is shown at checkout.
- Hype Bucks can also be used towards an eligible Moss Moss ticket deposit.
- They cannot be used towards Moss Moss plan fees or other non-ticket charges.

You buy a VIP ticket
KES 8,000 paid at checkout.
- STEP 2
You earn Bucks
VIP earns at 0.5%, so you receive 40 Hype Bucks — KES 40 in Tickoz value.
- STEP 3
They activate
7 days after the event, your Bucks become Active.
- STEP 4
You spend them
On your next eligible ticket, those 40 Bucks can come straight off the price.

Good to know
- 1 Hype Buck = KES 1. So 100 Hype Bucks = KES 100 and 500 Hype Bucks = KES 500.
- Your Hype Bucks are personal to your Tickoz account. They cannot be transferred or withdrawn as cash.
- Active Hype Bucks expire 12 months after activation.
- Hype Bucks are a Tickoz rewards balance and are not cash.
- Some events, ticket types and transactions may be excluded from earning or redemption. Your eligibility and reward are shown before you complete your purchase.
- Where an order is refunded, cancelled, disputed or otherwise reversed, rewards generated from that transaction may also be reversed.
